CITY OF ELLSWORTH BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Dear Property Owner:

The City of Ellsworth Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a Public Hearing on Thursday October 6, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 121 W. 1st Street, Ellsworth, Kansas to consider granting a Special/Conditional Use Permit the purpose of allowing an existing property within the Residential District (R-1) to be utilized for professional office.
A site location map and proposed lot layout is included with this notice.

ELLSWORTH COUNTY
LAW ENFORCEMENT PLANNING COMMISSION
ANNUAL NOTICE

The LEPC is tasked to "establish rules, give public notice of its activities, establish written guidelines for handling public requests for information, and develop an emergency response plan" to deal with hazardous materials that exist in Ellsworth County, including their use, storage, processing or transportation.
In order to accomplish this task, the LEPC must:
 • Identify facilities which are subject to the requirements of Title III within Ellsworth County and likely transportation routes of extremely hazardous substances. Develop methods and guidelines which facility owners and operators and local emergency personnel will follow in response to releases of hazardous materials. Insure the designation of a community emergency response coordinator and facility emergency coordinators.

In adopting the 2017 budget the governing body voted to increase property taxes in an amount greater than the amount levied for the 2016 budget, adjusted to the 2015 CPI for all urban consumers. 3 members voted in favor of the budget and 0 members voted against the budget.
