County explores EMS options

Ellsworth County EMS director Rod Rees updated commissioners Monday on the Dec. 1 injury accident on K-140 Highway near Brookville involving one of the county’s three ambulances. Rees said Ellsworth County emergency medical technician Jeremiah Brown remains at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, where he was taken following the wreck.

Clarinetist Dr. Sarunas Jankauskas will perform at the Sandzén Gallery in Lindsborg at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13. He will be accompanied by locally- raised pianist Nickolas Carlson.

DISHING UP THANKSGIVING

Meals are served during the Thanksgiving Day dinner at the Ellsworth Senior Center by, from left, Rene Pennington, Edie Pennington, Kevin Johnston and Alicia Birney. As she has done in the past, Edie Pennington did most of the cooking. Between 190 and 200 meals were served. The dinner was cancelled last year due to a lack of funds.
