BREAKING NEWS - Ellsworth's Walmart Neighborhood Market to close Jan. 28

     Ellsworth’s Walmart Neighborhood Market will close Jan. 28 after just eight months in business. The Friday announcement from Walmart’s corporate headquarters was part of a plan to close 269 stores globally and 154 in the United States. The move sent a shock wave through the entire community.

Road Detour

Drivers who travel east out of Ellsworth on the old highway may want to allow for a few minutes more of travel time. As of Monday, Jan. 11, workers started setting the stage for a bridge replacement on K-140 between the K-140/K-156 and the K-140/K111 junctions. The existing bridge will be removed and replaced.
